Jarryd Hayne to face retrial in sexual assault case

Former NRL star Jarryd Hayne will face a retrial in March after the jury in his sexual assault trial was unable to reach a verdict earlier this month.
The defence has requested the case be moved to Sydney because there are no trial dates in Newcastle until late next year.

Hayne, 32, had pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent recklessly inflicting actual bodily harm.
The trial will begin on March 8, 2021.
