It's always good to have Abbott: Morrison

As Tony Abbott weighs up his future in politics, Scott Morrison says the former prime minister is a great Australian who makes a great contribution.

Mr Abbott says the message from thousands of pieces of correspondence he's received since been deposed as Liberal leader in September, was that he still had a contribution to make in public life.

Mr Morrison agreed, telling reporters in Melbourne on Wednesday that Mr Abbott brought a unique set of talents and experiences to the parliament and "it's always good to have Tony".
