Is this the world’s healthiest burger, shake and fries?
The 'Nutri-burger'. (Groupon)
The ‘Nutri-burger’, which claims to be made from more than 50 superfoods with the same antioxidant levels as three kilograms of broccoli, might be the most nutritious meal ever.
UK coupon website Groupon today published the burger’s recipe, labelled as a “nutritious twist on a fast-food classic.”
Containing 21 of the top 100 antioxidant foods, the super-meal contains the recommended five-a-day serve of fruit and vegetables, and provides more than 100 percent of your daily vitamin requirements.
Created by chef and nutritionist Libby Limon, the healthful hamburger is comprised of a beetroot, Natto (fermented soy-beans), quinoa and mushroom patty, sandwiched between a matcha (green-tea powder) brioche bun.
A side of fries is made from orange and purple sweet potato, rich in beta-carotene and vitamin C.
The meal is complete with a thick chocolate shake, containing cacao, bee pollen and activated nuts.
Although the recipe calls for a supermarket trolley full of ingredients, including duck egg and cashew cheese, Limon insists it’s worth it.
“The superfood ingredients will help you put a spring back in your step after a late night or give your immune system that extra boost,” said Limon.
