Intruder uses knife in brazen daylight home invasion

A man has been arrested after allegedly using a knife to force his way into a Melbourne home this afternoon.

Police were called to Barcelona Street, Box Hill, after the man allegedly broke into a home about 3.30pm.

The female resident suffered minor injuries, and is being treated at the scene.

It’s also believed the offender was responsible for damaging vehicles in the area.

He has been taken to hospital for assessment.
