Inquiry suggests campaign for Hep C stigma

A parliamentary inquiry recommends new awareness campaigns to help reduce the stigma around Hepatitis C.

An inquiry into the disease affecting 230,000 Australians found stigma can stop people seeking treatment.

Its report, released on Thursday, recommends new campaigns to encourage people living with Hepatitis C to get treatment, as well as a campaign to encourage those at high risk of infection to get tested.
