Inmate stabbed at maximum-security Barwon Prison

A male prisoner has been stabbed at Victoria’s Barwon Prison this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the maximum security jail on Bacchus Marsh Road about 4pm.

A 41-year-old prisoner was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No one else is believed to have been injured in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
