Indigenous targets set for public service

The federal government will set targets to increase Aboriginal workers within the public service.

By 2018, it wants to increase the indigenous workforce to three per cent, which equates to 7500 jobs.

It will also set a three per cent target for indigenous suppliers to gain Commonwealth contracts.
