Bag full of ‘ice’ found in car during RBT stop

A bag full of the drug ice has been found in a car during a vehicle stop at a RBT site in Orange this morning.

Police charged two men with drug offences after the drug was seized during a vehicle stop, as part of the CATCH (Crime and Traffic Connecting on Highways) program.

About 2am the Nissan Pulsar was pulled over at a random breath testing site on the Northern Distributor, when police searched the car they allegedly found a snap-lock bag full of drugs believed to be ice.

The driver, 39 and his passenger, 37, were arrested and taken to Orange Police Station where they were each charged with supply indictable quantity of drugs.

They were refused bail and are due to appear at Orange Local Court today.

Since the CATCH program began more than $110 million worth of drugs, guns, cash, stolen goods and other contraband has been taken off New South Wales roads.
