PM Malcolm Turnbull may compromise on plebiscite

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has conceded his government may have to compromise on the gay marriage plebiscite and company tax cuts.
"We may have to negotiate on all of these matters," Mr Turnbull told Neil Mitchell on 3AW Radio this morning.
The concession came after the government this week bowed to internal pressure and made changes to the superannuation policy it announced in the May budget and took to the July election.
Mr Turnbull said the coalition didn't have a majority in the Senate and would need to negotiate and compromise on most issues.
"You cannot expect to get legislation through the Senate on a take-it-or-leave-it basis."
Asked specifically about the company tax cuts, he said: "I'm going to compromise if I have to."
