Geelong great Jimmy Bartel wants to extend his decorated AFL career into next season.
The Brownlow medallist turns 32-years-old i n December but believes his form after a 10-match absence with a knee injury warrants a contract extension.
"I think my form has been solid enough," Bartel told the Seven Network's Game Day program.

"The 10 weeks off really rejuvenated me and gave me some passion to play on next year."
Bartel, a veteran of 279 AFL games, is one of a host of ageing Geelong players considering their futures including Corey Enright, Andrew Mackie, Steve Johnson and James Kelly.
