The Blue Mountains’ Hydro Majestic returns to glory days

The landmark Hydro Majestic Hotel in the NSW Blue Mountains is undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment.
The building was a popular destination for Sydney’s A-list in the early 1900s and it is expected to emerge from its enforced hibernation when renovations finish later this year.
In its hey-day, the hotel was also home to a domed casino which was popular among the wealthy, famous and even infamous.

The Hydro Majestic has been closed since 2008 for repairs.
