Hundreds of Buddhist nuns cycle through Himalayas to protest human trafficking

Hundreds of Buddhist nuns have set out on a cycling trip through the famous Himalayas mountain range to protest human trafficking in Nepal.
The cycling Drukpa Order includes 500 Buddhist nuns from Nepal, Reuters reported.
They are undertaking a 4000km bicycle journey that began in Kathmandu, Nepal, and will end in Leh, India, this weekend.
The ride is aimed at raising about the illegal trafficking of women in remote regions of Nepal.
"We wanted to do something to change this attitude that girls are less than boys and that it's okay to sell them," 22-year-old nun Jigme Konchok Lhamo told Reuters.
“It shows women have power and strength like men,” she said.
This is the fourth time the Drukpa nuns have completed the journey.
The order is often referred to as the “Kung Fu nuns” due to their training in marital arts.
