Humpback whale leaves watchers stunned… and soaked

A humpback whale has put on unforgettable display for tourists in Port Macquarie, New South Wales.

Video shows the mammal breaching just metres from the whale watching boa on Friday.

In one swift move, the whale twists, with its fins and tail producing one almighty splash that soaks awestruck onlookers.

The vessel can be seen rocking as the humpback makes a swift exit, shooting water out of its blowhole as one final “gesture” to its admiring crowd.

Whales are currently migrating from the Antarctic to the warmer waters of Australia, with several spotted along the east coast in recent weeks.
