Suspected human remains found in national park

Suspected human remains have been found after a two-day search at Victoria's Grampians National Park.

Bushwalkers initially found the remains on Monday about 12.15pm in the Bellfield bushland, Victoria Police confirmed today.

Officers were unable to find the remains before dark on Monday and returned on Tuesday to locate them.

The remains were found at about 12.50pm, and will now be examined by the coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
