Human remains found in search for missing student at Phillip Island

Human remains have been found off Philip Island, after a man went missing on Christmas Day.
Hemant Govekar, 28, was swimming with family at Cape Woolami last night when he ran into trouble at about 5.30.
Surfers attempted to rescue him, but he disappeared.

“He was taken by a rip and taken out,” Sergeant Bruce Kent told 9NEWS.
“Witnesses have said they had seen him drown and at this point in time we’re looking for a deceased male.”
A search for the Indian student recovered some human remains which police said will undergo forensic testing tomorrow.
