How Australia is helping Vanuatu

AUSTRALIAN HELP IN VANUATU

* 56 urban search and rescue experts.

* 27 health professionals, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists.

* 30 Australian government staff, including consular staff.

* $5 million aid to Australian non-government organisations, Red Cross, UN partners.

* Water, sanitation and shelter kits to help up to 5000 people.

* 195 people returned to Australia on military planes (156 were Australians).
