Homesick koala raised by humans runs back to hug cameraman
A young koala raised domestically has been released into her new sanctuary for the first time, but before she could explore it properly she had to go back for one last hug.
Imogen the koala was hand raised by Kylie Elliot and Matt Radnidge from the Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh, south of Sydney.
The pair decided to take Imogen home and raise her themselves after her mother passed away from Leukaemia while she was still just a joey.
After taking her into her new koala sanctuary at the wildlife park she quickly inspected a tree before abandoning the attempt in favour of hugging the camera man filming her new experience.
“Hey, it’s okay,” the cameraman said, trying to console the homesick koala.
The video, released to YouTube two days ago, already has more than 10,000 views.
