Homer and Marge address marriage split rumours
Fans of The Simpsons can breathe a sigh of relief.
The world’s biggest celebrity couple – Homer and Marge - have released a video statement quashing rumours of a divorce.
The official response comes after one of the show’s original, writers Al Jean, almost broke the internet by telling Variety that Homer and Marge legally separate in the new series of The Simpsons.
The earth-shattering plot reveal was followed up by news outlets around the world, including CNN.
Adding to the confusion, Jean later clarified his comments on Twitter, saying that while what he said was correct, it was also "completely misinterpreted."
Thankfully Homer and Marge have stepped in, declaring their marriage is as solid as ever under a banner emblazoned with the words “together forever”.
