Home Affairs asylum leaks referred to AFP

Australian Federal Police will investigate a leak of advice from within the Department of Home Affairs.

The advice from the department to the government outlined the possible impact of proposed laws to change how medical transfers are processed for asylum seekers in offshore detention and was published in News Corp.

A Department of Home Affairs spokesman said the matter had been referred to the AFP.
