Hit-and-run at Qld petrol station

A man has been run over following a fight at a petrol station on the Gold Coast.

The altercation broke out between two groups about 12.30am (AEST) Monday at the station on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach.

When one group left the fuel station, their car ran over a 40-year-old man, and they failed to stop.

The man is in a serious condition in the Gold Coast University Hospital.
