South Australian Premier slams 'unacceptable' vandalism of historic Adelaide statue
An historic statue commemorating Colonel William Light has been defaced by a vandal for the second day in a row.
The graffiti attack on Adelaide's founder has been condemned by South Australian leaders but some say the culprits are simply making an important political point.
The slogans on the statue declaring "death to Australia", and that there's "no pride in genocide".

Many North Adelaide locals have been left appalled that the statue had been targeted again.
The latest attack appears to be written with the same red paint that was used yesterday to deface both Colonel Light's statue and another commemorating the Boer War.
It follows some statues and monuments being targeted, particularly those of figures with links to slavery and colonisation overseas.
Council workers moved in this morning to remove the graffiti.
Regardless of the message, the method has received a prominent slapdown by political leaders, including Premier Steven Marshall.
"Well the graffiti attacks we've seen on statues in South Australia are completely and utterly unacceptable," Mr Marshall said.
The Lord Major Sandy Verschoor also said vandalism has no role to play in activism.

"The statue of Colonel William Light actually has a very special place in our history, he was the planner of our city, he's not there for colonialism or anything like that," Lord Mayor Verschoor said.
There have been calls for Colonel Light's prominent statue to now be removed - but the Premier says there's no way that's going to happen.
