Wage growth slowed a little in the six months to May this year, but the average Australian fulltime worker was still earning $1923 a week, new ABS data has revealed.

Breaking the numbers down a little further, here are the industries where workers can expect to take home Australia's biggest pay packets.

Though even as the ABS noted the gender pay gap closing to a "record" 11.5 per cent for full-time workers, these numbers show there's still a long way to go.
