Harrison Ford recovering from surgery
Harrison Ford is recovering from surgery and will soon enter rehab after breaking his left leg on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, his spokesman has confirmed.
The 71-year-old actor was injured when he collided with a door at Pinewood Studios in Britain on June 12, BBC reports.
"He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work," the spokesman said in a statement.
"His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly."
It is not known how long before Ford will recommence filming for the new Star Wars film, in which he is reprising his role as Han Solo .
The BBC reports that Ford was injured while filming a scene involving a door on the Millennium Falcon, Solo's beloved spaceship.
He was airlifted to a nearby hospital at the time.
The Lucasfilm production company has since moved the shooting schedule to continue filming while Ford recuperates.
The film is set to be released next year.
