Detectives are investigating if a burnt out vehicle found on Robjant Street in Hampton Park was the shooters getaway car.

Echo Taskforce, the police group assigned to bikie related crimes, has been tasked with investigating the shooting.

A worker at a nearby diner spoke to reporters shortly after the shooting.

"I'm guessing it might have been a targeted shooting. They didn't ask for anything they just shot him," he said.
