How to let trick or treaters know if you're taking part in Halloween

Although not all families celebrate Halloween, it's not uncommon to hear the rap of tiny knuckles and the words "Trick or treat!" as the sun goes down on October 31.

Queensland police are encouraging residents to print out posters indicating whether or not their house is joining in.

Police recommend trick-or-treaters should be accompanied by an adult at all times, stick to the footpath, wear bright colours, never enter a stranger's house and walk in groups.
