Groups commend Turnbull for reform invite
One of the groups invited to sit down with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has commended him for agreeing to meet with business and community leaders.
The new Liberal leader will convene what he has described as a "rare opportunity", expected to be on Thursday, which comes on the back of the national reform summit in Sydney in August.
Chief Executive of the Council on the Ageing, Ian Yates, praised Mr Turnbull on ABC radio for being willing to gather so quickly.
Australian Industry Group head Innes Willox is pleased Mr Turnbull is trying to seize some of the momentum following the August summit.
He urged him to use some of his "political capital", after his elevation to the top job was broadly welcomed by business, to look at issues such as workplace relations.
Mr Willox told ABC radio on Tuesday, he would like to see the federal government back matching Sunday penalty rates with those on Saturday.
