Infamous murderer Lionel Patea admits to murdering Gold Coast dad Greg Dufty

An infamous Gold Coast man has confessed to murdering father Greg Dufty, two months before killing his own ex-girlfriend.

Lionel Patea laughed with his brother Nelson in the dock at Brisbane's Supreme Court this afternoon before the pair admitted to the murder of Dufty in July 2015.

The former bikie entered a plea of guilty to the charge of murder, while his brother Nelson pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Lionel Patea is infamously known as the man who brutally killed his ex-partner Tara Brown in September 2015.

Another man, Aaron Crawford, today pleaded guilty to manslaughter and interfering with a corpse over Dufty’s death.

The father-of-two disappeared in July 2015.

He was lured to the Gold Coast Hinterland and bashed to death over a drug debt.

The 37-year-old’s body was dumped across the border in northern NSW but has never been found.

Dufty's family, including his mother, was in court today to hear the men's pleas.

Both the Patea brothers as well as Crawford will be sentenced tomorrow morning.
