Man, 21, stabbed during brawl after soccer match

A 21-year-old man has been stabbed in the leg during a brawl after a soccer match at Greenfield Park in Sydney's West.

Police and paramedics were called to the car park at Nineveh Soccer field on Smithfield Road at 8pm last night to find a man with a stab wound to the leg and injuries to his head. 

Witnesses have told police he was attacked by five other people wearing jumpers with hoods.

The man was unable to identify his attackers.  

Police are yet to locate a weapon. 

The 21-year-old was transported to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

This morning, the man’s condition was updated to stable.

Police are asking for any remaining witnesses to get in contact.
