Green Army working, Landcare says

The government's Green Army program is helping get more younger people to volunteer.
Landcare has given the paid program - for 17 to 24 year olds who take part in environmental restoration projects - its tick of approval because it's getting a different profile of participants.
"Volunteers are ageing and it gets a bit tougher to hack things down and drag down trees when you're getting old," chief executive Tess Jakszewicz told a Senate estimates hearing in Canberra on Tuesday.
