Govt union concerns 'hysterical': Shorten
AAP
Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has dismissed "hysterical" claims by the government that Labor is being controlled by extreme elements of the union movement.
Employment Minister Eric Abetz says Labor's national conference showed "militant" unions were in control of the party.
Mr Shorten told AAP he was proud of his union background, dismissing the claims as "hysterical language".
