A Labor senator has accused the Turnbull government of raiding taxpayer funds to push roads and rail "propaganda".
The federal government is considering spending $18 million on an advertising campaign about various infrastructure projects in the lead-up to the federal election.
Stephen Conroy said the government was raiding the project pool for "propaganda" after quizzing infrastructure department officials at a Senate estimates hearing in Canberra on Monday.
