Govt releases regions for new visas

The federal government's new safe haven enterprise visas will apply to all of the ACT, South Australia, Tasmania, but only parts of the other states.

The full list of postcodes in which the visas will operate was gazetted by the government on Wednesday.

SHEV holders will be able to stay in Australia for five years, during which time they can work, access Medicare and receive social security benefits.
