Govt pledges $10m for Fiji women's fund

The federal government is pledging more than $10 million over the next seven years to help support the work of women's organisations in Fiji.

Minister for International Development and the Pacific Steven Ciobo will announce the funding at the launch of a Fiji Women's Fund in Makoi, near Suva, on Tuesday.

"I hope that many more women can be motivated, inspired and supported to lead change in their local communities, in national policy and indeed to the regional and global stage," he said in a statement.
