Govt cyber security strategy due mid-year

A new national cyber security strategy will set out how the federal and state governments can partner with the private sector to improve information security.
The federal government intends to release the strategy mid-year, the first such plan since 2009.
"Australia is a very attractive target and it's very important we review our settings and ensure our policy is relevant and up to the mark," national security official Dr Margot McCarthy told a Senate estimates committee on Tuesday.
