Murder charge after woman dies in house fire
A man has been charged with murder after a house fire claimed the life of a 60-year-old woman in Victoria's Central Highlands and Goldfields region, about an hour north of Melbourne.
Emergency services rushed to the home in Goldie about 10.30pm on Saturday and a crime scene was established after the woman's body was found when the fire was brought under control.
Homicide detectives on Monday night charged a 60-year-old Goldie man, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the Mt William Road blaze, with murder.
