Consumers have been warned this is a prescription only medicine and the supply of Gold Viagra 9800mg tablets containing sildenafil is illegal.

Sildenafil is used to treat dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension. The gold tablets containing this substance are a counterfeit version of the well known blue version.

Gold Viagra has not been assessed by the TGA for quality or safety which is required under Australian law. It is understood a number of people in Australia have bought the tablets online.

The TGA is working with the Australian Border Force to stop future shipments of Gold Viagra from reaching Australia. Any tablets found at the border will be seized and destroyed.

If you have taken Gold Viagra and are concerned about your health, consult a doctor immediately.

To report counterfeit medicines call 1800 020 653.
