Two men arrested after dramatic end to terrifying Gold Coast ordeal
Police have taken down two men on the run in a dramatic end to a terrifying ordeal on the Gold Coast.
Pinned to the ground by police while their car, which police say was stolen, crashed into a pole.
Earlier in the day the men had attempted to rob a home on Molendinar Street, with one of the men pulling a weapon on a father and son who attempted to stop them.
Security video shows the men in a hatchback on a suburban street before a driver of a ute attempts to block their path.

Desperate to escape, the driver of the hatchback raises what appears to be a handgun in the direction of the ute driver.
The brave ute driver won't give up, ramming the hatchback a second time.
Finally, the hatchback driver's co-accused emerges from the house, police say with arms full of stolen goods.
The hatchback driver and his passenger then sped away. But they weren't on the run for long with the pair arrested by a swarm of police 5kms down the road at Labrador.
"It was pretty full on actually… there would have been at least 15 or 20 police," witness Nicole Harvey told 9News.
"The guys (police) looked like swat gear with semi-automatics as well."
The two men spent the night behind bars at the Southport Watchhouse.
One of the men faced court today where he was denied bail.
