Gold Coast search underway after riderless jet ski found
A large scale manhunt is currently underway off the Gold Coast after a riderless jet ski was found floating offshore.
Water police launched into action after the jet ski was spotted 13 kilometres off the Gold Coast seaway at 2.40pm today.
The Coast Guard has joined in the search effort. 9NEWs
Life guards, Volunteer Marine Rescue Queensland and the Coast Guard have all joined in the rescue operation.
Police say they are hunting for a 54-year-old man from the coastal suburb of Labrador.
The man's car and trailer have been located at a South Port boat ramp.
Authorities say there is still hope of finding the man alive. It is believed he was wearing a life jacket.
