Manhunt underway after two men injured in Gold Coast stabbing

A major manhunt is underway for a gunman after a double shooting on the Gold Coast.

A concerned shopper found the victims in a white Toyota Camry next to a Pizza Hut in a carpark in Upper Coomera about 3pm today.

A 30-year-old man had been shot in the abdomen and a 19-year-old shot in the arm.

9News understands the shooting may have taken place elsewhere before the men drove themselves to the carpark.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene in a black Audi.

The men are recovering in hospital and their injures are not life-threatening.

"Both of the gentlemen were in a stable condition and reportedly they were quite comfortable," Queensland Ambulance Service's Jayney Shearman told 9News.

The motive behind the attack is under investigation. 9News understands it may be linked to an MMA fight that was held on the Gold Coast yesterday.

Both victims will be interviewed by detectives as soon as they are well enough.
