Police investigate separate tobacco store fires in Melbourne

Two separate tobacco stores in Melbourne's north have been damaged after a firebombing overnight.

Emergency services were called to the first business on Morgan Court in Glenroy about 4.15am.

Just minutes later, a second business was set alight on Belair Avenue.

Police believe the fire was suspicious. Nine

Two crime scenes have been established and an arson chemist is at the scene.

Police are treating both fires as suspicious and will investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the fires.

They're the latest in a series of arson attacks on tobacconists across Melbourne in what is suspected to be a gangland war.
