Firefighters race into burning Gympie home to rescue 12-year-old girl

Firefighters have pulled a 12-year-old girl from a burning home in Gympie, after three other people managed to escape the blaze.
The girl suffered critical injuries and is being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Crews were called to the fire in Monkland about 3am and raced to save the girl, who was trapped in her bedroom.

Fire investigators are at the scene and are working to establish the cause of the blaze.
