Girl, 15, missing for four days after disappearing north of Emerald

Police have appealed for help to find a missing 15-year-old girl who was last seen four days ago north of Emerald.

She failed to return home after visiting a friend’s house in Clermont, about 274km south-west of Mackay, about 11.30pm Wednesday, the Queensland Police Service said in a statement.

Police have released two photographs of the girl, including one featuring a distinctive hat they believe she may be wearing. It has the word ‘YO!’ written across the front, police said.

The girl is described as Caucasian, 162cm tall, with a slim build, green eyes and long, straight brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black dress, black tights and may have been in possession of a small backpack containing clothing.
