Girl hit by car on the way to school in Perth
A 12-year-old girl faces having to undergo surgery after she was struck by a car while walking to school in Perth.
The year 7 student was rushed to Perth Children's Hospital this morning with a broken collarbone and leg.
The girl's mother told 9News the incident happened about five minutes after she dropped her daughter near the entrance of Willetton Senior High School.

It is understood the car did not stop after the incident at 8.30am on Pine Tree Gully Road and the girl's mother sprinted to her side.
The vehicle was last seen heading towards Burrendah Boulevard.
9News understands CCTV has been seized from the school which depicts a white hatchback, however the number plate is unclear.

Major crash detectives urgently asking for anyone with dashcam to come forward.
