Ghost van crashes in busy Sydney street

A passing motorist has filmed what appears to be a driverless van careering out-of-control through the busy streets of Sydney's eastern suburbs last week.

The vision was uploaded to the YouTube account belonging to Lee Henderson and titled 'Ghost van crash'.

In it, a white van is seen rolling backwards across the busy intersection merging Alison Road and Botany Street in Randwick.

It is only by sheer luck that other cars appear to either miss the van or manage to swerve around it.

The van finally comes to a stop after crashing into a line of parked cars.

At this stage it is still unknown if anyone was behind the wheel.
