Grandmother dies after crashing into couch left on Victorian road
A grandmother has died from her injuries after she crashed into a couch in the middle of a Victorian road, causing her car to collide with another car.
Vicki McKenzie, 74, died in hospital two and a half weeks after the crash which occurred when she was driving along Creamery Road in Bell Post Hill on the outskirts of Geelong about 7.50pm on Saturday, September 10.
She was returning home from dropping her grandchild at a friend's house when her Kia Rio hit a couch then crashed into a Hyundai i40 travelling in the opposite direction.

She was rushed to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
Six days later on September 16 Vicki's son Brad McKenzie, made a public call for information with police about how the couch came to be on the road.
At the time, Brad said his mother was in a very bad way.
"She's somehow still hanging in there unexpectedly, she wasn't expected to reach the hospital," he said.
"She's lost a leg".
Brad said his family wanted answers about how the couch got on the road.
"We'd just like answers," McKenzie said.

Detective Senior Constable Paul Stokes said police had investigated suggestions the couch had been on the semi-rural road for up to a week, and he was confident the couch had been put on the road shortly before the crash.
A woman and two children who were in the Hyundai i40 during the crash were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Anyone with dashcam footage, who witnessed the crash or with information on the couch is urged to contact police.
