Up to 20 people have experienced gastro-like symptoms at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne over the weekend. (AAP)
A gastroenteritis outbreak has affected up to 20 people at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne over the weekend.
The hospital said most of the patients were no longer experiencing the symptoms, and some have been discharged.

“These cases are concentrated in one ward,” a hospital spokeswoman said.
“Ongoing investigations have not yet identified the exact cause of these symptoms and infection prevention measures continue as a precaution.”
