Photos have emerged of gangland widow Roberta Williams trashing a police interview room on the day she was charged over the alleged extortion of a TV producer.

Williams, the former wife of convicted killer Carl Williams, can be seen tipping over the desk after picking up a chair and slamming it against the floor inside the Melbourne police station.

She is facing charges over destroying police property.
