Gang members remain behind bars
Senior members of the Brothers for Life gang will remain behind bars after their hearings on shooting and firearms charges were adjourned.
Wahid Karimi, 18, Sarkhel Rokhzayi, 22, Mobin Mirzaei, 22, and Jamil Quami, 21, were due to face Burwood Local Court on Monday on the charges.
But their matters were adjourned until February 24, with the prosecution saying they needed more time to complete their briefs.
None of the men appeared before the court.
In December, nine Brothers for Life associates, aged between 16 and 58, were arrested and charged with a total of 70 drug and gang offences.
Several other members were put behind bars after police crackdowns in November and last week.
The four men whose cases were adjourned on Monday are due before Burwood Local Court again on February 24.
