Fans treated to mini-reunion of Friends cast in comedy skit

Fans of popular American sitcom Friends were treated to a reunion of sorts after the show’s three leading ladies reprised their characters for a comedy skit.

The quasi-reunion took place after late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel ushered guest Jennifer Aniston to a replica of the Friends kitchen that had been recreated on set.

She was quickly joined by former co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, while Kimmel portrayed Aniston’s love interest Ross.

Kimmel even had an explanation for why cast members Joey and Chandler were missing from the skit, saying that they had been bitten by Ross’s pet monkey and died of rabies.

The Friends reunion comes after it was announced the show’s iconic ‘Central Perk’ coffee shop would be revived as a real-life pop-up shop in New York City to honour the program’s 20th anniversary.
