Four-year-old girl drowns at NSW public pool

A young girl has drowned in a public pool at an aquatic centre in the New South Wales city of Orange.
The four-year-old was found motionless at the bottom of the pool on Hill Street yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were summoned to the scene about 3.35pm but the girl could not be revived, despite the efforts of her family, lifeguards and paramedics.

The girl was taken to Orange Base Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police are speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage.
